Owner and operator
Báo Khánh Hòa named the investor at the opening as ANTT Trading and Investment Joint Stock Corporation (Tổng Công ty Cổ phần Thương mại và Đầu tư ANTT). At the five-star ceremony in June 2024, the trade portal VnTravel named it as ANTT Nha Trang Trading and Investment JSC (Công ty Cổ phần Thương mại và Đầu tư ANTT Nha Trang). The two names may refer to a parent and a project company; we could not confirm the structure from public records.

How the brand works here
Every page of the hotel’s website carries the line “Each BWHSM Hotels property is independently owned and operated.” Opening reports described Best Western International as the group behind the brand. We found no announcement of a management contract, so we describe the hotel as owner-run under a Best Western Premier licence. In that model the owner employs the team and carries the trading risk; the brand supplies standards, reservations and loyalty.

TTR Weekly reported in April 2026 that BWH “now operates seven hotels and resorts” in Vietnam. BWH also has WorldHotels-branded residences in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in the pipeline. An infinity pool on the 31st floor, Tram Spa, a gym, a kids club, a business centre and a 3D golf simulator. The hotel says it was the first international hotel in Nha Trang city with one. There is free parking in a car park next door, according to the hotel.
Location
Marvella sits on Tran Phu, the beach boulevard, with the bay directly in front. Its competition is the line of five-star towers on Tran Phu and the streets behind it.
In our hotel database, built from the national register, Nha Trang city has 24 five-star hotels. The 22 with published room counts have a median of about 306 rooms, and Marvella, at 335, ranks tenth by size. Only three of the 24 carry an international brand: Sheraton Nha Trang, InterContinental Nha Trang and Marvella. Five carry domestic brands, three Muong Thanh and two Vinpearl (Vinpearl’s Empire tower is affiliated by Meliá), and the other 16 are independent.

1. Franchise is the realistic brand route for mid-sized local owners
A local investor with one 300-room tower rarely gets a management contract from the big groups on terms it likes. A franchise-style licence lets it keep the team and the margin while buying distribution. Marvella shows that route works for a five-star rating in Vietnam.
2. BWH is building a Vietnam network fast
Seven hotels, three Hoi An signings with Fanae Group in March 2026, and the BW Premier Collection soft brand now flying in Phan Thiet and Da Lat. Our view: for independent four- and five-star owners in central and southern Vietnam, BWH is now a credible alternative to the big three for a first brand.
3. Brand protection is part of the job
The hotel’s own fraud warning shows a branded independent still has to police its name online. Owners should budget for that, along with brand fees and reservation-system costs.
