Grand Tourane Nha Trang Hotel is a 162-room, four-star city hotel at 23 Hung Vuong Street in central Nha Trang. It began operating on 10 February 2023 and formally opened on 29 March 2023. The owner is Datraco, the Quang Nam – Da Nang Trading Company, which also owns the five-star Grand Tourane in Da Nang. It is an independent hotel: we found no international brand or third-party operator. For the trade, it is a useful benchmark for a mid-sized, owner-run four-star in a city where the large resort clusters set the tone.

Owner and operator
Datraco is a single-member limited company based in Da Nang. Its registered activities include fuel and fuel equipment trading as well as tourist accommodation. It owns two hotels under the Grand Tourane name:

The Da Nang hotel is registered as a branch of Datraco. We found no management agreement with a hotel company for either property, so we describe both as owner-operated.

Figures are the hotel’s own. Reports at the opening gave different numbers: Thanh Niên described a 200 square metre hall on the 4th floor, and the architect’s award entry a conference room of more than 650 square metres. We use the hotel’s current figures.

Location
The hotel is on Hung Vuong Street in the centre of Nha Trang, a short walk back from Tran Phu and the city beach. The hotel says the night market is 450 metres away and Tram Huong Tower 650 metres. Cam Ranh International Airport is to the south. After Vietnam’s 2025 local-government reform, the address is Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa; older listings use Loc Tho Ward, Nha Trang City.
Its direct competition is the cluster of city hotels along Tran Phu and the streets behind it, not the island resorts. In our hotel database, Khanh Hoa has 45 operating four-star hotels on the national register. The 44 with published room counts have a median of about 155 rooms, so Grand Tourane is a typical size for its class. Datraco built a 21-storey, 162-room hotel on a plot of about 1,235 square metres, with a rooftop pool and small events space. That is the typical shape of a new Nha Trang city hotel: vertical, pool on the roof, and F&B and meetings sized for local groups rather than conferences.
2. Two hotels is a portfolio a brand would notice
An owner with a five-star in Da Nang and a four-star in Nha Trang under one name is a natural target for soft-brand and franchise offers from international groups. Our view: whether Datraco keeps the Grand Tourane name will show how independent owners in central Vietnam weigh brand fees against distribution.
3. Benchmark carefully
With 162 rooms, Grand Tourane sits near the middle of Khanh Hoa’s four-star stock. Competing four-stars can use it as a size and facilities comparison. They should not compare its rates with those of the island resorts.
